8/10
The folks here were just as nice as pie. Our room had a swell balcony that looked right out over the sea, perfect for sippin’ coffee in the mornin'. Breakfast was a downright spread, fresh fruit, yogurt, and all kinds of pastries. Only bummer was the shower could use some fixin’ in the pressure department.

Arriving at Hotel Danae felt a bit off due to the unfriendly reception right from the start. Only one plug in the room was a hassle, and the air conditioning barely managed to cool. Despite this, the room itself was clean, with a decent view of the sea. The pool area was a highlight. the cushions on the sunbeds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was varied and of great quality, with a beautiful view from the breakfast area. It was a nice touch when the staff allowed us to use the facilities after check-out, offering fresh water and towels while we enjoyed the pool. On the downside, the road noise disrupted my sleep, making it hard to unwind. Still, the inviting pool and friendly service made my stay enjoyable overall.

lovely pool, helpful luggage storage, mesmerizing sunset view near lighthouse
A suggestion for improvement is to address the limited number of sun loungers—only 16 for a hotel with such capacity!!! Additionally, check the shower heads and AC units for maintenance issues!!!

The family enjoyed the daily cruises to nearby islands, making for memorable adventures. Our room had a stunning sea view, and the pool area was perfect for relaxation, especially for the kids who loved splashing around every chance they got.
For dads, it would be great to have more family-friendly meal options.

You absolutely cannot miss the homemade muffins at breakfast—they're a true local gem! The restaurant offers a vibrant menu with a mix of delicious snacks and meals. The pool area is a relaxing oasis with comfy sunbeds and lemon trees, creating the perfect spot for unwinding after a day of exploring.
While the hotel has some charm, the reception felt a bit unwelcoming. it seems they prefer business over warmth. Plus, the noise from the nearby road makes it hard to catch some Z's. The room could have used more than one plug, and the lukewarm A/C was a letdown!

Target audience looking for value
The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained, filled with vibrant flowers & shrubs that added a tropical feel. On our second day, the staff surprised us with complimentary local desserts that just blew our minds! It felt like a personal touch that made us want to come back soon!
Not the cheapest option around but still decent enough for what you get.
